Horizon Care Solutions is a Community Interest Company founded by two former NHS Executives with diverse and wide ranging skills in Mental Health, LD, Commissioning and Contract Management.
Their knowledge and business acumen is also drawn from previous experience of working successfully in the private sector.

Marshall Gore (Director of Quality & Clinical Operations) He has a strong Clinical/Commissioning background in mental health & LD delivering patient centred care in both primary and secondary care settings. He has a proven track record of delivering efficiencies and managing various commissioning projects in the NHS that have benefited patients directly. He combines experience of working within the NHS with commercial expertise developed whilst working in the private healthcare arena.
Amer Akbar (Director of Commissioning & Contracts) He started his NHS career as a Public Health Specialist before moving into Commissioning across health and social care. He has worked in very senior management roles across the NHS for CCGs as well as Provider Trusts and has also held similar senior commissioning roles within Local Authorities. He has developed an expertise in delivering outstanding outcomes by seeing care pathways as “systems” and is able to deliver results by applying this model to complex operational and strategic problems.
